I want to share my background on how our current health care system has evolved in America. As many of you know, it is broken and broken and contributes significantly to the high cost of medical care in the United States. In 1970, I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine with a Master's degree in Public Health. I soon became a registered nurse (as at Brown University) and then an assistant at Penn State University.

I have had the privilege of participating in numerous national forums on chronic pain and have always been interested in interdisciplinary care. I also established a Perinatal Ethics Commission in the 1980s, and I have always been interested and passionate in health ethics and the role of ethics in public health.

I am proud to say that these programmes have led to an increase and have often helped many hundreds of men and women to rebuild their relationships. A growing number of men have benefited immeasurably and they can say that we have helped to improve their quality of life and often give them a sense of security in their lives.

I also enjoy seeing stories and hearing how something we do has a positive impact on their lives. When one of my patients comes back and tells me how "something we did or said for him" has positively affected his life, I am always amazed.

I think it is good that so many services are offered under one roof and that my patients can be treated efficiently and effectively here. I want them to feel safe and secure that if they are cared for, they will be well treated if they are under my care.

By using a variety of options in treating my patients, I believe that people need to play an active role in their treatment. I want to erase the idea that dentistry is separate from medicine, and help people realize that they need a healthy mouth to have a healthier body. To this end, I encourage a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, and I hope to help CPP sufferers for the rest of my working years and pass on this model of care in the future. We are committed to helping patients realize that their mouth and teeth do not exist in a vacuum.

I remember thinking at the time that helping people with pain was one of the noblest things I had ever done, and I'm glad I did.

I have learned that most doctors are trained to follow the model of acute pain, but I believe that the causes of female pelvic pain are primarily limited, as I was trained in gynecology. I developed the ability to assess, clarify and treat painful symptoms known as chronic pelvic pain (CPP) in general.

I am certified in both dental and sleep medicine and am aiming for dual board certification. I have undergone extensive training in order to be ahead of the curve in dental care. Dr. Steve has received scholarships in the treatment of temporomandibular joint pain and also in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He is undergoing extensive oral and dental health training to complete his stay and core curriculum.
